After graduating in Economics and Commerce from the Luiss University in Rome, Francesco Sortino joined Procter & Gamble in 1991 in the Marketing department, and took on positions of increasing responsibility until he became Marketing Director of the “HAIR CARE” area.
In 1998, after leaving the American multinational, he joined Diners Club Italia as Marketing Director. In Diners he gradually assumed the role of General Manager of Diners Italy, General Manager of Diners Europe and finally Managing Director Italy. He was also a Board Member of several European subsidiaries and Chairman of Diners Switzerland and CEO of Dinet Club, the Group’s “Internet Company.”
In 2004 he left Diners Italia after managing the company’s merger with Citigroup to take on the role of Managing Director of “the Charming Life” a company operating in Leisure Travel and “haut de gamme” Hotelerie.
In 2006 he then founded Medialia, of which he was Ceo, a start-up with the mission of enhancing multimedia audiovisual content, through different channels of fruition.
Since 2009 he has combined his managerial activity with that of consultant and Advisor as Partner of “La SocietĂ del Marketing” and that of Associate Professor at several Italian and European Universities. During this period, among other things, he was Director of the Ravello Festival and Vice President of the ACLI in Rome.
It was in 2013 that he joined Linkem with the role of Chief Marketing Officer, held until 2022, when – following Linkem’s merger with Tiscali – he assumed the role of Executive Director of the Media Tech Division of Tiscali and President and Ceo of Veesible, the Group’s advertising concessionaire.
